Friday is the master of all days (Sayyid al-Ayyam) in Islam, distinguished by special blessings, congregational Jummah prayer, and an hour of guaranteed supplication acceptance.
The Light of Surah Al-Kahf
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, a light will shine for him between the two Fridays." (Al-Sunan al-Kubra).
Sunnah Etiquettes for Friday
- Performing Ghusl (bath) and wearing clean clothes.
- Applying non-alcoholic fragrance (Itar).
- Arriving early at the Masjid to sit near the Minbar.
- Abundantly sending blessings (Salawat) upon Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
